Place a Lync Call
A Lync Call uses VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) to share voice and video data.

1. Try It: Place a Lync Call
Select a Contact and go to the Contact Card.
Click on Lync Call.
A new Conversation will open.

What Do You See? The Conversation has some tools at the bottom of the window:
Mute microphone
Volume
Show dial pad (for phone numbers)
On the far right side is an button for Hold.

What Else Do You See? The participant's status changed from Available (green) to Busy (red) because they are In a call.
